Looks very interesting, need to sit and give it a good read.
Thanks

When my Puerto Rico friends talk about racial history in PR they often use the term "mixo" to describe the blend of blacks, Tainos indians and Spanish blood for most native Puerto Ricans.   When it comes to the Spanish element, they tell me that their great grandfather was from Spain, and had white skin, blue eyes and blond hair.

Well the study does show that while the majority came from Spain, not all were native spaniards. Spain itself was colonized several times so they were mixed to begin with.
You have blond blue eyed spaniards and dark hair ones and green and brown eyes. Spain was not a single country either. There is Cataluña which wants to separate from Spain as they used to be separe before.
So we are all SATOS = mix breed.

yes, when we traveled thru Spain, the Catalones in the Barcelona area  looked quite fair, as we traveled south along the med coast, the people were more olive toned (must be all that olive oil) and then at Gibraltar (very international on the rock) it was more Arabian and mixed.
