Hello. I would like to know if someone could provide me some details about the cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City for a month so I would know my budget when I get there next month while looking for a teaching job. I will be traveling with my husband and we will be on a tight budget. :-)

Your budget depends on the district where you will be staying. House, room, condo rents vary in the different districts of HCM. My family lives in one of the low cost districts of HCM ( but very accessible to transportation). A two bedroom condo costs only 200-250 USD a month, some rooms In shared condos, rooms would cost only 100-15 USD per month. Food is much cheaper n this district too.
