Looking for work, New to the Netherlands

Hi I've just moved to The Netherlands from Ireland and I'm looking for work. I can sing, I can write songs and I'm a qualified carpenter but I'll work at anything ..... except slavery. Take care out there, regards Kevin ;-) ..........

Hi and welcome to the Forum. :)

Carpentry is not a regulated profession in Holland, so nothing should stop you finding work (if there is any).  I've just had a quick look at what there might be in Wageningen, and there's quite a few carpenters (Timmerman) advertising their services, so perhaps you need to consider something else.

What brought you to Holland?  Do you speak Dutch?

Thanks for the heads up on the carpentry, seems pretty loose alright. My girlfriend doing her PhD here and no don't speak Dutch. Ah I'll find something, no panic yet.

Lack of Dutch won't help.  Perhaps the singing is the way to go; student bars?

Customer services/call centers is also a very good option because they don't require Dutch language. After, I don't know if you can find one in your area, because it's above all in big cities (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, etc...)... Where it's easier to find an English speaking job...
