Unless you are a US citizens, your first and major issue will be going thru inmigration to get permission to inmigrare. See the post and links under For non-US citizens.
Second issue is Spanish, only 1/3 of the population speaks English and not all of those speak it well enough to be helpful.
But the main thing is being able to inmigrate, Puerto Rico is a territory of the USA, so all federal laws and immigration requirements apply.

Puerto Rico has an unemployment of close to 15% and some towns have 23% unemployment, if you will need a job it will be hard to find one and even more so if you do not speak Spanish. As a non-us citizen you would need to have a work permit also.
