Coming to Da Nang soon and I am an avid scuba diver and surfer. I will be seeking scuba and surfing buddies. Where are the best places to surf (biggest waves) and the best coral reefs in or near Da Nang to scuba?

Most diving is around the Son Tra peninsula, which is about eight miles by boat from Da Nang's port, however, diving during October and January is shit...rougher weather and crap Vis...
Another option is take a day trip to the Cham Islands and dive from there.
Around Da Nang There is soft coral, lots spiny scorpion and lion fish, sea bass, big fat groupers, parrotfish. crabs, lobsters, barracuda and you might be lucky to see moray eels
