I can do that without any research.

People neither know nor care about social responsibility; they just want a phone they like.
Good news is ignored, as is bad news such as a phone company's president being arrested or phones blowing up on aeroplanes - people forget about ten minutes after dinner.
Iphones and Samsungs going splat and burning bums as it explodes in someone's back pocket is of no interest as long as it isn't your bum getting fried.
A few bad jokes and a week later, expunged from memory.
