Cost of living in Kazakhstan  is dependent on the location you lived in. Atyrau is considered the highest cost of living compared to Almaty.

How much does it cost to rent an apartment/house in Kazakhstan?  In Atyrau, a 2 bedroom apartment will cost in the region of 120,000 to 200,000 tenge depending on location.

> How much do you pay for your public transport tickets (bus, subway, train, tram)? In Atyrau there is only bus and taxi as public transport operated by orivate individuals. Bus fare cost 80 tengen, taxi in the region of 500 tenge for distance of 5 km

> Staple food: what do people eat and how much do they pay for basic food like bread, rice or pasta? Bread is one of the stable food besides potato & tomato. A loaf of bread cost 100 tenge. Potato & tomato prices varies between season, it is rather cheap food.

>What is your monthly grocery budget? Monthly grocery budget for an adult is between 20,000 -30,000 tenge a month

> How much does it cost to see a physician/doctor/specialist in Kazakhstan ?  Is you are not local, the cost is high. A visit to the hospital for consultation can cost 5,000 per visit.

> What is your children's schooling monthly budget? As a foreigner child, one cannot be enrolled into a public school it has to be a private school. for lower to middle school can cost between 50,000 to 80,000 per month. If you can afford it you can enroll your children to international school which will cost about USD2000 per month, this info you can search for QSI in the internet

> How much does it cost to fill up your car's fuel tank? a full tank with the highest grade petrol can cost 6000 tenge

> How much do you pay for electricity/gas/water etc.? average electricity bill for a household 2,000 tenge and for gas about 500 tenge, there is also foe heating during the winter about 3,000 tenge, this are also subjected to usage.

> How much do you pay for your Internet/phone subscription? There have packages for phone usage depending on individuals needs ranging from 4500 per month

> How much do you pay for your lunch pack on weekdays?You can grab set lunches at 500-700 tenge

> How much do you pay for an espresso coffee? Coffee is expensive here and hardly many people drink them, the locals prefer black tea. i Suggest you change your beverage to normal Nescafe coffee, which cost 50 tenge a sachet

> How much do you pay for a cinema ticket? Movies cost about 800-1000 tenge

> How much does a gym membership cost in Kazakhstan?  there do have monthly gym depending on the regularity usage costing from 20,000 or more onwards
