Hello,

Before moving to Albania, it is important to investigate the cost of living in the country.

As we did in 2015, we give you the opportunity to share your experience and tell us more about products and services average recorded prices in your town/city/area.

Don't hesitate to let us know if the cost of living in Albania has decreased or increased in the past few years.

Thanks to your help, would-be expatriates will have the opportunity to refine and better prepare their expatriation project.

In Tirana, the rent is between 300-400 euros for an apartment, 40-50 square metres. You can find cheaper, but I wouldn't recommend it.
There is no pay as you go mobile phone service, basically you have to pay a monthly service starting at 8 euros.
The bus is 45 cents.
Utility bills in the winter are about 60-80 euros, and the heating is terribly ineffective.
An espresso is about 50 cents.
a loaf of bread, between 40 and 60 cents.
Haircut costs between 2 to 6 euros

Tirana is cheap, but the quality is horrible

In Vlora, the rent is around 150 euros for a 2 bdrm apartment around 80 sq meter.  If you chose to live near main blvd, it is about 200 euros.  Mobile phone is per month basis, under 10 euros.  1 kg of apple is about 1 euro, 1 kg of beef/lamb is about 5 euros.  The bus here is 30 cents, coffee is 50 cents.  Monthly utility bill is under 50 euros.  Haircut is 2 euros for men, about 5 euros for woman.  You can buy a 2 bdrm apartment here for 50,000 euros.
