Whats the easiest way to find a rental home?

Hi, Im new here,

I've been doing a lot of research and see on websites that properties are 15,000 php and up a month. I've also seen people getting rental properties between 3000-5000 php a month. I plan on moving to Angeles City if that helps.

My question is where do people find these cheap places?
Is it better to ask around or find a rental company?

Thanks for feedback
Gary

Hi Gary and welcome on board  :)

Till members get back to you, i suggest you read the Accommodation in the Philippines article, you will find some housing specialised websites at the bottom of the page which might be useful.

All the best,

hi ,the first house we lived in was alredy rented in my name by my wife to be .not all can take this what some cal risk,i know.
my advise is to first rent a room and look around and ask frends tolook out for a rental (a finders fee helps)the second hoise we found by visiting a frend of my wife .wen i was looking at the property i cood not beleeve it was only 5000 peso rent a month ,large house ,3 bedrooms,2 bath rooms one whit waterheater, large garden whit 4 mango trees and car park and only 2 minutes walk from the beach .this was in the province but mals and so were 20 minutes drive away so nice lokation to .
now we live in Mati city ,a provincial small city .the market and bus terminal are just around the corner ER supermarket whitin walking distance,so again good lokation .at nite it is very peachefull here no noise at all.rent 5000 peso
but as sayed this is the province ,and we never rent in gated comunitys ,i realy dont like those,i prefere peace and quit wich we have here.
but wen i came here it was alredy planned to marie and i had lokal family taking care.manny dont have this.i have been very lucky to have a very good wife and family in law.so i can say to move here was best disision i ever made .

Thank you Dirk for the response. I will definitely take into consideration living in the province. I plan on moving there in December for good.

if you are on your own i do think you sood take some caution .
things like waving cash around and faling in love fast are not wise .
take time to look around, and if you are looking for a partner dont rush in at full speed ,things can go fast here just as fast as they can go wrong .
personaly i made sure to get to know my wife and i lookedfor a woman whit maturity ,i know much a younger girlfrend can be great fun and ego building but ,life is not always fun and my ego is fully grown so i found a matching wife whit mutual dreams and expectations ,i'm such a lucky dude hehe.
