Speaking Mossi in Burkina Faso

Hi everyone,

It is widely agreed that speaking Mossi is essential for a successful integration in Burkina Faso. Do you agree? Share your experience!

Do you speak Mossi? If so, where did you learn this language? Where can one attend a language course in Burkina Faso?

If not, how do you cope with daily activities? Is it easy to communicate in a different language with Burkinabes?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hummm, Here is how it goes: Mossi designate a person or the tribe, and moree is the spoken language of a  mossi  person or the tribe.  :)
i do speak morée, but it is not essential to live in the country. Do not forget that moree is only one of the 60+ languages in Burkina faso.
Now when you go to  villages, thats when it gets kinky and your problem will not be moree alone.
Cities are where you should definitely live, because people tend to speak french, the colonial gift.
Now when it comes to learning the language it self, i will suggest talking to your embassy or consulate.
Or you can also try the big old Youtube. I found this one that gives the basics  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAo6k39YahY

here is a burkina faso news site http://notrefaso.com

Let me know ;)

Hello everyone,

Sorry for digging up this old topic, especially for something that isn't related to it, but I'm looking for the mean of Mossi's last name : Zung'Rana.

Could anybody speaking morée help me with this ?

Kind regards,
