I am speaking from the perspective of a woman who married a Jordanian citizen. I am well travelled in 3rd world countries but found Jordan to be the hardest. I was not able to connect with or trust the arab woman who mostly gossiped about me in front of my face. I wore there traditional dress and scarf (hijab) and tried my best to fit in and be respectful to everyone. There are a few things I did like there but too few to compensate for all the troubles I faced.

Hi, might be moving to Jordan and would like to get some information for expats.
1. Cost of living and where does one stay.
2. Being a female, is it safe, can I drive a car and how easy it is getting things done when all I speak is English.
3. I have a child, has anyone got kids in privates schools and what are the fees.
