Hi.

You could ask your wife to check with her employer whether they can arrange a visit visa for you (you can take care of the expenses). There are chances that a new rule will be introduced that a working wife in Bahrain could sponsor her husband (conditions will apply) but this is still under discussion.

You can also check your eligibility under https://www.evisa.gov.bh/

Note: Beware of Visa scams, someone might say they will sponsor, but once you pay the person may not be traceable.

Yes - its best if you do it through your wife's employers. The other alternative is to get a visit visa through a recognized and reputed travel agency.
