My most curious experience was, a loooong time ago, being contacted by Email and phone by somebody under a pseudonym declaring to be in love with me, but refusing to tell me her real name. Some detail information given prove that she really knew me and was somewhere in my surroundings. Since I was single and lonely at the time, I engaged in some of this conversation and then insisted on a personal meeting (to which I travelled two hours!) - she hesitatingly agreed and then didn't show up, later said that she was sick. I stopped talking to her shortly afterwards and never found out who it was.

Lol! Sorry about that.
Loneliness can make you do crazy stuff. I remember I met this guy on Facebook who claimed to be crazy about me. He turned out to be a dead beat father still uncertain of his ex. He just wanted a lay. But I'm glad he got me home safe. But that was the end of it.
