As DTU is very international, I would rely on their help in finding an accommodation. I could imagine that there also might be some ads in the university paper or at the billboards so I would wait until I had arrived.

I would certainly recommend you to wait until you have arrived as it is no good idea to pay in advance without having seen the location, met the landlord ......., but if you don't agree with me you may try dba.dk, gulandgratis.dk or findroommate.dk

A search today for rooms in Lyngby gave this result:
