Hi - I am also hoping for some advice...

I'm very close to deciding on a move to GZ with my family - which would be about August if it goes ahead.

I have the same priorities as other expats:- I need to find a good area to live and for my wife and our two young kids (3yrs and 3 mths) to make friends easily. Does anyone have any tips on areas to live, and pre-schools?

Also keen to know if it's worth driving (so buying a car) or is it easy (and cheap) to get around by taxi?

And if anyone has experience on living costs for the following, they would be very gratefully received! 

       Rent for a 4 bed house/apartment in good area
       Utilities for the above
       Cable TV - incl. all premium kidsTv, US shows, movie and english football/sports channels
       Weekly grocery bill for family of 4 (western/imported products)
       Nursery Shcool - English and Chinese speaking
       Full-time live in maid
       Taxi ride 10km
       Cell phone - light usage - local calls
       High speed internet
       Dinner for 2 out at a good international or chinese restaurant (incl. wine)
       Private Chinese tuition (per hour)
