Potentially moving to Bahrain with family - in need of some advice

Hi all
we are a family of 4 (2 children aged 4 and 7) and we might possibly be relocating to Bahrain next year.
There are so many things to think about but obvioulsy top of my list being a mummy is schooling.
Can any of you recommend any schools for British children?  Would you look at housing near the schools or does that not really matter?
Would anyone recommend any housing compounds?  Ideally we would love to be with other families in a community environment.
There are so many things to consider! ;-)
Thanks in advance.

Hi Emma
Bahrain is a lovely safe place to live. Schooling will depend on where you are living/working/budget. Most popular for British ex pats are St Christophers or British School Bahrain. They do have waiting lists so contact them as early as you can. There are many compounds to choose from suitable for children, most have a pool and park. You will find it easier to live near the schools as traffic can be very busy at peak times. I can recommend an Agent if you want help finding accommodation. She took my brief and found properties to match my wish list and budget which others seemed unable to do! Send me a pm and I will pass on her details. I can also recommend the Mums in Bahrain facebook group for any advice.
