Dependent visa

Hello guys,
I have recently shifted to Kl on work visa and would like to shift my wife too.

I believe she can come on dependent visa.

Just want to know how much time and cost it will take. Also if anyone can do the job for me, I can pay directly.

Regards
Saurabh karnawat

If your company is registered as MSC status, its best to ask the HR to help you out with this as the company would cover the cost for that and the process would be faster and easier since MSC has a partnership with immigration and deals with them directly.

Hi Im Nurul, my husband has work permit in Malaysia.. and Its been 7 months since we give the required document to my husband's company for applying dependent visa.. but the process takes so long due to require approval from his headquarter in India..

is it possible to apply dependent visa with own cost.. and how to do it.
Thanks

Dependent visa hardly takes 1 week.. you don't need any permission from company for that.. you just need to submit marriage certificate and your passport.. ping me as I have recently applied my wife dependent visa through agent

It takes hardly one week to get

Hey, can you let me know the process for applying dependent visa for wife and kid. I am on EP here and need dependent visa for my wife and kid.

Thanks

Ask your employer to make the application and if necessary offer to reimburse the small cost involved. The paperwork you can assemble yourself - https://esd.imi.gov.my/portal/pdf/TC-ES … r-2017.pdf

Hi, How much did you spend for your dependent visa?

Hello,
I've a query about my dependent visa.my husband is working in kl.I want to join him with my dependent visa.he already applied for this in end of December,2017 through his employer.still they r processing. today they collected my marriage certificate for legalization and said that it'll take approx 2months for legalization.but I've my spouse name in my passport..is that necessary to legalize the marriage certificate as I've already my spouse name in my passport..I also have VP n valid till June..is there any other easy way to get dp n how much it'll cost n time required..thanks in advance🙂

Yes the document has to be authenticated.  Immigration is very paper-centric and accurate.

Check also what is needed if you want to drive in Malaysia - http://www.blsindia-malaysia.com/

The DP checklist is here: https://esd.imi.gov.my/portal/pdf/TC-ES … r-2017.pdf

Employer has to continue application now. Beware of fakes.

I know dat..but they r taking too much time..from December n now they r telling that it would take more than 2months to legalize the marriage certificate..somewhere I read that there is no need to legalize marriage certificate if I already have my spouse name in my passport..have u any idea??

2-3 months is normal and it's immigration that takes the time not the company so wont be quicker any other legal way.

It's also authenticated in India via high commission here. You could have avoided the wait if you got it done while you were in India. Same with driving licence.

Nothing to do but wait. Check  if you can only be 30 days per time on visitors pass.

You see passport is meaningless in Malaysia as don't include spouse name here. Has to be marriage certificate authenticated.

There is an extra RM 500 journey performed charge by coming too early to Malaysia. That's why coming on a VDR is better way.
