Are you happy in Estonia?

Hello everyone!

According to the 2016 UN World Happiness Survey, Denmark, Switzerland and Iceland are the happiest countries on earth.

How about you? Are you happy in Estonia? Do you feel happier today in your host country than before in your home country? What has contributed to the change?

In your opinion, are locals in Estonia happy? How can you tell?

Please share your experience!

Estonians are reserved people who do not appear to be happy.  They almost never will strike up a conversation with someone they don't know, and no pleasantries are exchanged between strangers.  There is a lot of drinking by Estonians, and the drinking is to great excess.

I have many Estonian friends and I love and admire them, but they don't seem to be happy people, with a couple of exceptions.  The older the Estonian, the less happy he/she seems to be. Although I love Estonia and my friends, "happy" is not a word I would ever use to describe them.
