Moving Cats to Philippines- Proof of no rabies within 20km/6months?

Hi all,

I am returning to the Philippines from the US next year with my 2 cats, Mittens and Nermal. I believe I have a complete list of the documentation needed but I just have a question about one document.

One requirement is additional certification to show no cases of rabies within a twenty (20) kilometer radius from the point of origin during the last six (6) months.

Does anyone know what this means exactly? Another poster on this website stated that a letter from the USDA licensed vet was sufficient, but I wanted to make sure.

Any other insight on the pet-moving process would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
