Common misconceptions and clichés about life in Switzerland

Hello everyone,

Old clichés die hard, as the saying goes... and living in Switzerland can generate lots of misconceptions in the eyes of the people.

What are the most common misconceptions about the expat lifestyle in Switzerland?

What are the most common clichés about life in Switzerland in general?

Did you have a biased view of the country before moving there? What is you view now?

Thanks in advance,

I think the biggest misconception is that you can make a lot of Money. The salary is Good But the life is so expensive the more you gain the more you pay taxes and child care. The Health insuarance is also very expensive. The family back in Keny can't understand that you have nothing left to travel.
