Dealing with homesickness in Botswana

Hello everyone,

Being an expat in Botswana can turn out to be a wonderful human, social or professional adventure... with potential moments of nostalgia and homesickness along the way.

What are your personal tips to prevent homesickness?

How do you deal with such feelings?

Are there shops or stores offering products from your home country in Botswana? Or maybe venues with music and ambiance from your homeland?

Thanks for sharing your experience,

I have been too long in Botswana and my parents died 7 years ago .
There are several products in the shops which are from Belgium but now I hardly buy them ,I watch the Belgian TV news thanks to Multichoice .Have not a single Belgian friend in Botswana . All my friends are Motswana people ,.I dont know any other people as I live in Serowe
