I'm from Sydney, Australia and I just wanted to start a thread to see if there's an interest for group personal fitness training in Ho Chi Minh.
In Australia we have a gym called F45 (Functional 45) which is a gym that specialises in 45 minute group personal training classes. There is a wide variety of functional training classes and each workout is never the same! This has taken off in Australia, with over 200 gym locations in New South Wales alone.
My partner and I would love to bring this concept to Ho Chi Minh and we want to gain some insight into how much interest amongst the expatriate community there is to join this type of gym.
Has anyone heard of F45? There are also locations in other South East Asian countries (Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines) as well as Canada and the US, and of course, Australia wide.
Our pricing is determined by the cost of an average monthly gym membership in HCMC plus the cost of one personal training session per week. This would come to approximately $135-150 USD month (approx 3,368,000 VND) which I know is a substantial amount to pay per month however rather than just 1 personal training session per week, you have access to unlimted personal training classes per month of a wide variety.
My partner has been a personal trainer in Sydney for the past 6 years at Fitness First (one of the largest and most recognised gyms in Australia). He has extensive knowledge in fitness and personal training and will be running the F45 classes initially.
I would appreciate any thoughts, comments, advice and any questions regarding this topic, in particular any members who would be interested in joining, and thoughts regarding the pricing. Thanks
