What is th weather like in australia? Is there a city that is mostly warm with little or no winter months? Which cities are cheaper to live in for a family of 5?

Queensland is good, as its very tropical. I would say Brisbane is a good city to live with family...

My suggestion would be Brisbane as it has year round warmth. Winter maximums are around 20C and summer maximums are around 30C to give you some idea of the climate.

Annual sunshine hours are around 2,700 hours/year which is reasonably good. Rainfall mainly occurs in the summer months which tend to be (relatively) cloudier as well.

Brisbane is also a fast growing city and has good links to the Whitsundays, Great Barrier Reef etc.

I live in Sydney which has a high cost of living (but offset to some extent by the salaries). I have heard anecdotally that Brisbane is not too bad on this count. Best of luck!
