Keeping up with the news in Costa Rica

Hello everyone,

Living in Costa Rica provides countless occasions to browse local newspapers, listen to local radio stations or watch local TV shows. As everywhere else in the world, local media play a key role in informing the public.

What are the major media in Costa Rica? Which one do you use on a regular basis?

How do you keep up with international issues (newspapers, radio, TV, Internet)?

Thank you in advance!

Priscilla

I pay as little attention as possible to the news.
Been there, done that.
The elections in the US: Do you really think anything will change, no matter who is elected? Not me...

I hear things from friends via email or phone and if something important happens I usually find out pretty quick. As a wise man once said, "The real news penetrates."

I don't watch tv (as in tv networks; I download or stream tv shows and movies) so get zero tv news, thank goodness.

I really couldn't care less what is going on back in the USA and really don't care that much what is going on in  Costa Rica news-wise, either.

Like I said, "Been there, done that." Tired of "news".

I use the following, fairly regularly...

- Tico Times - http://www.ticotimes.net/

- American Expatriate Costa Rica - http://www.usexpatcostarica.com/

- La Nacion (for Spanish news) - http://www.nacion.com/

- I also watch CNN - probably too much, but this "trumped-up" election season has just been too tantalizing...

Pura Vida,

Scott
