Today i was replying on an interesting thread and wrote a large post. But the problem is, like in "the old days" I can't see the history of the thread. So when I opened a new window to see the whole thread as to being able to get back to some statements, I have to get back and forth and I lost my writing and I had to start all over again. 
Very frustrating!!!!
Is it possible to have this feature back?

I liked that as well, but there is a cheat.....
Right click on the reply or quote button, then open in a new tab.
You can scroll down the thread in one tab, but answer in another.
