Cost of living Prague

Hi!

I received a job offer in Prague, a city I've never lived in and I'm interested in finding out how a salary of 25 000/a month before taxes compares to the cost of living? So far, from what i've read on line, it seems like a pretty low salary.
Also, what is the cost for rent in general?

I appreciate any reply!

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Lena

wow :top: thank you Yud !!!

25k before taxes in Prague? That will make your living quite difficult... :) I would not move to Prague with salary below 35k. It is not worth it... Average salary in Prague is currently about 30k a month.

am quite eager to now about the salary of a waiter in czech .
glad to see your responces

I think its all about how you look at it. Of cores If I'm setteled with familly then its hard to come over to Prague and live on this avarage salary of 25k - The jobs you can get easiest over here are at the moment customer service, finance like accounting jobs, technical help desk, sales for big international IT companies, and of cores a lot for IT jobs over here for anykind of level.

WIth this jobs (not IT jobs, here is mainly english ok) its all about the languages you speak - english is a basic language over here in this Business Service Centers - on top high requested at the moment is German, Dutch and any Scandinavian language. With this languages you should be able to earn around 30-40k czk a month (plus company benfits like food vouchers, fitness Center, ...) before tax and this makes you a good/normal live with fun over here. Best are this jobs for young people want to stay abroud 2-4 years and collect some international expierence.

here you can find some jobs available over here with languages.
