I am an Australian journalist and considering teaching abroad at either Guangzhoz, China or Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
I plan to teach ESL part time whilst working in my field of journalism. Therefore, what country offers better journalistic prospects?
What are the pros and cons of each? Living, utilities, expenses?
Overall experience of each.
I would be extremely appreciative to hear from anyone willing to share their thoughts, opinions and offer advice.

I live in HCM, yours is an old post. I can't compare the two cities but find HCM a pleasant place to live. I would like to get first hand info for visas coming to China from Vietnam if you are in Guangzhoz, maybe you know.
