I am looking for marriage

I am killed here from loneliness and closed life,
looking for marriage....

Welcome to the Forum Siwael!  Unfortunately, all you need is some friends - marriage sounds a bit much for a little bit of loneliness.... :dumbom:

Get out and introduce yourself to people and make some friends...  Go out with the folks at work.  Get involved in the community.  Volunteer at the local boys club or hospital.  There is lots to do, but you have to get out there and make it happen.

Expats in Jeddah - sounds like this guy needs some support!

Hi wael,

Please note that you are not on a dating site.

Thank you for your comprehension,
Regards,
Christine

you message to me is too frustrating to me
and depressing me more and more,
guess you would have re-consider it more than this instruction.
thanks

Actually I empathize with you, Wael and I see nothng wrong with this website having a "personals" section at all, as this site is supposed to be devoted to assisting expats with all sorts of outlets, i.e. sports, things to do, social clubs, forums about issues, etc etc. You just said what many expats would like to express in here but are too timid or intimidated to express. True this isn't a dating site per se but what's wrong with creating a personals section?  Anyway, Wael, hang in there and good luck.

Dave, there IS a personals section.  Have you even looked at the classifieds before suggesting this? ( https://www.expat.com/en/classifieds/mi … onals.html ).

It might be to your benefit to explore all the options Julien has so generously provided :)

Best of luck.

I stand corrected.  There you go, Wael. Put it in the classified section.IN fact I'm going to put myself in the classified section. It will read: "free to good home." One mature male adult, has all the shots, is house-broken and domesticated."

I had check this section
https://www.expat.com/en/classifieds/mi … onals.html
I guess it wont help, is there another method or way, or firm solution

Yeah there is,

Go outside your house and try to meet people in order to make friends.

Yes, this is a good idea, I don't know how i didn't ever thought of it before,
thanks for the advise.

Strangers in the night, exchanging glances,
wondering in the night what were the chances
we'd be sharing love before the night was through

:lol::lol::lol:
This guy is pretty funny!!

Okay, seriously, Wael, I agree that Saudia is a difficult place to meet people and that you can really be sticking your neck out if you even try to get together with people of the opposite sex (if you don't live on a compound).

If I were you, I'd content myself with friends and forget about love and marriage until my contract was up and I was back home.

Best of luck to you :)

It must be nice to have a compound. That's different thread though.

Yep, I know what you're saying.  I live on my Saudi company's compound that is NOT (I repeat: NOT) Western.  The rules are worse than when I was a teenager living at home!!!

I thought I had it bad.  Seems you're in a worse situation.  Where I work we are the only foreigners in this town, so the presence of 30 westerners doesn't merit having a "compound" built.  We just live among the locals in apartments.  Thankfully we have internet.
Our company bus takes us to "town" twice per week to the one big supermarket.  If you like solitude, you'll find it here.  Sometimes I feel as Wael does, but not desparate enough to use the "m" word....hehe.
