Do I get back the money I paid for the Seguro Fianca?

Dear all,

does anyone know how exactly the Seguro Fianca thing works once you leave your appartment? Do I get it back, or parts of it, or is it just gone permanently? How does this work once you terminate your contract earlier than the 30-month period?

Surprisingly, people have been giving me quite different opinions on this - so if anybody has some "hard facts", this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a ton!
