Birds and wildflowers

Here's an interesting article on the past and present purposes of selected British charities - and almost certainly other nations' similar charities. Touching on the topics of wind-farms and global warming and cooling. … ties-must/

Good post Gordon!
When the WWF was still the World Wildlife Fund I was a member and proud to be able to help that cause. But slowly the WWF changed their direction towards the environment and later even more to environmental activism at a political level.
By then I had said good-bye to the WWF.
Another event that convinced me of how much they had changed is when by chance I found out that they had even changed their name to "World Wide Fund For Nature". and their stated goal is 'to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature'. Even that still sounds OKish, however, the reality is that the political activism of "global warming" is their dominant theme.
For me "endangered species" and "climate change" are two different things.
