Insurance coverage in Poland

Hello everyone,

Moving abroad requires adequate insurance coverage.

What type of insurance expatriates need the most in Poland: health, house or liability insurance? All of them? Do they come as a package?

Are there other insurance options to consider like critical illness, damage or property insurance?

Is it better to purchase insurance from an expat insurance specialist or from a local insurance provider?

And what about insurance costs?

Tell us about your experience in Poland.

Thanks!

Kenjee

I have:
Medical: State (compulsory ZUS) + company (was Medicover, now is Luxmed)
Life: company (AVIVA)

You need to register for ZUS, but beware that the queues are long (though the doctors are very, very good in my opinion).  Get Medicover as well.

Life insurance I suggest from Aviva -- I don't believe it is necessary to go to an expat insurance specialist.
