Any news about immigration to Vietnam?

Hi,
I would like to know whether it has some news about immigration to Vietnam for foreigners who want to visit Vietnam and might settle down in Vietnam.
Thank you

You mean, married to a national or a single person.

To live in Vietnam you must:

- Invest to establish a company; or
- Work in a company; or
- Mary a Vietnamese (must be in the opposite sex); or
- Go in and out every 3 or 6 months to obtain new tourist visa; or
- Have a Vietnamese company sponsor you every 12 months.

That's what I can think about now.

Any news? well Vietnam is full of new news for you to anticipate all the time :D

Thanks you guys, I mean any changes for a tourist visiting Vietnam first and might settle down in Vietnam if finding a good job  to live in Vietnam.

Then upon having a work permit, you have to exit Vietnam to apply for a working visa to comeback.

From 1 April 2016, conditions on work permit changed as below:

- Technician: at least 1 year training certificate and 3 years experience in related area
- Specialist: at least bachelor degree and 3 years experience in related area
- Teacher: in Ho Chi Minh City, an international certificate in English teaching.
- Manager: in Ho Chi Minh City, about 1 year managerial experience. But only very top high positions can be considered manager now, like General Director, Deputy of General Director, Chairman, someone that is stated in the company's charter to have the right to make transaction on behalf of the company.

It is before 01 April 2016, that a teacher can have either 4-year BA or 5 years teaching experience to apply for a WP as a "Specialist".

Now a Specialist must have a 4-year BA AND 3 years experience.

The labour authority in Ho Chi Minh City applying it flexibly for English teachers as below:

(i) English teacher in language center: An international teaching degree is enough. if he can eligible Specialist conditions so it is even better.
(ii) Teacher in a university or school: 4-year BA AND 3 years experience are required.
