Insecurity in Cameroon: expats advised to be cautious

Hello everyone,

Due to rising insecurity prevailing in Cameroon, foreign nationals who are planning to travel to Cameroon or who are already on the spot are advised to be very careful.

Several bombing attempts have been reported, particularly in the North, near the Nigerian border. Risks of kidnapping are also very high in this area, as well as in Adamawa.

It is therefore recommended to expatriates to pay strict attention to safety regulations issued by local authorities. Avoid traveling in danger zones and remote areas.

Caution is also recommended in major cities like Douala and Yaounde. Moreover, make sure to be in possession of your identity documents when moving around due to increasing security checks.
