Interesting places to visit....

I happened upon this place while I was watching the TV show "Strike Back".  Some episodes were filmed there.  Looks creepy but interesting none the less for those interested in industrial decay.

Kelenfold Power Plant

Saw allot of industrial decay as we drove from Hungary into Romania 12 years back.
So many rusty old factories rotting away with nature slowly taking over again.
I wish the Soviets would of taken all their old junk with them when they left, really such a contrast between nature and man made junk.

The control room is a nice example of turn of the (20th) century Art Deco industrial design; showing a sense of wonder and optimism for such technology in the early electrical age.

Looks like it was built in the 1920s for Flash Gordon.

I've got Mrs Fluffy on the job to see if we can visit this place.

Another one that seems interesting is nearby in Austria (not Hungary):

Zwentendorf Power Station

Also used for making movies.
