I am a citizen of Kenya and have a residence permit through Family Immigration and would like to travel to England. Do I need to get a visa or can I travel into UK visa-free?

UK isn't Schengen so I'm unaware of any agreement that would allow you to travel freely there. This visa check page also agrees, as there's no question regarding residencies in Europe when determining whether or not you need a UK visitor visa:
