I would love to know what I should expect as an American living in Finland.
Are visa's are to get?
Are jobs hard to find?

Are visa's are to get?
I'm an Indian and not an American, but I guess the VISA process is the same for both of us. Ideally you would want to get a Residence permit before you arrive. This is what the government here recommends. For me it took just 3 weeks to get a Residence Permit for experts from the time I submitted it. But the official SLA is 2 months.
Are jobs hard to find?
I managed to get the job first and then the VISA, but I have read a couple of posts which mention its hard to get a job here. But I guess this depends on what you skill you have and how much demand exists here.
