Moving to Bohol to work with wildlife rescue
Having difficulty arranging simple accommodation there
New to Philippines but used to Asia
Possibly not using the correct terms in my searches?

Having recently been through this myself and stayed in Bohol one month, i can advise you on options if you can clarify: budget, location, length of stay.

My advice is don't arrange anything until you get there and NEVER send money ahead of time. The website I use for looking for things in the Philippines is olx.ph.

After being here for one month I have decided to build instead
Much simpler and in the long term definitely much cheaper
Rent for a very simple home in Bohol is around 10.000p per month
5 yrs x10.000 = 600.000p
IMO wasting 600.000 to have nothing to show for it after 5yrs is not a good option

sure as it would be the same anywhere else you go -that is of you can actually buy a lot to build on
