Vinh expats

Matt its amazing how many people think the HCM trail is in Vietnam.

OP here's the Vinh site on the forum, doesn't look like there's a lot of folks up there. Your registered in Nha Trang, plan on moving to Vinh?

Yeah, I once wrote a short consultancy paper for a European organization on the UXO and landmine problems in Vietnam. The recipient questioned me about my findings and said: "But surely if we simply avoid the Ho Chi Minh trail, we will be safe from UXO etc? His concept was that the HCMT was like a foot path, or cycle path.  when I told him that the HCMT ws 100km wide in places he said: "Surely not" and "Are you sure?" 

Yeah not many expats reside in Vinh, it's been rated as the worst city in Viet Nam for expats and tourists.
