Shanghai: most attractive Chinese city for expats

Shanghai has been designated for the fourth time in six years as the most attractive Chinese city for expats in a survey released on Saturday by the International Talent magazine and the China Society for Research on International Professional Personnel Exchange and Development.

During this survey, Chinese cities were evaluated on several issues, namely, policies for foreign professionals, the living and work environment, etc. More than 48,000 expatriates living in China were interviewed.

Shanghai is thus followed by Beijing, the capital city, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Qingdao, Suzhou, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Jinan.

Note that the expatriate community in China accounts for more than 88,000 resident experts.
