Indian Cuisine

I had a friend who was really into cooking Indian food and I remember he bought some of the hard-to-find spices from one of the Indian restaurants. Garam masala, I think, is available in some of the larger supermarkets. Try one of the Mega Image 'concept' stores (which have more diverse ranges than the regular ones). Another option would be to get in touch with someone who is coming over to Romania from the UK (students, for example) and who'd be willing to buy the stuff there and bring it to you.

If you need something urgently, then look up http://indianfood.ro/. They are not always well stocked. If you need more variety and better prices, try their supplier: Sokoni foods out of Varna Bulgaria. http://www.mysupermarketbulgaria.com . They are a British / Indian couple who also does monthly runs to Romania, and is the supplier for all Indian restaurants here. You also have the possibility to order online and they will deliver it to RO. However there is a min order amount of 50 Euro or so. Good luck.

To add to the other suggestions, you can find some of them in Selgros and Auchan stores here, though the quality and price aren't as good as what you might be used to.
