Just throwing it out there...We are driving down mid May'ish. From Alberta. We can cross into Mexico in either Del Rio, Eagle Pass or Mission. Taking the Saltillo/Santiago de Queretaro/Puebla/Villahermosa route. As we live closer to the Guatemalan border in Belize, we might take the El Ceibo crossing (Mexico to Guatemala), and enter Belize at Melchor/Benque. We love Palenque, and a detour to the site is a possibility. We will be traveling with our dog.

Will keep you posted once we leave, bmcraig. If you know anyone wanting to drive down from Alberta around that time, "send" them my way. We are pretty flexible with dates, but would like to keep to the route through Mexico. Hope to see you in the summer!
