Insecurity in Haryana: stay safe

Hello everyone,

Violent protests causing several deaths and injuries have occurred in the State of Haryana between February 20 and 22. Railway and road traffic have been severely disrupted in some areas, namely, the NH1 highway (New Delhi - Chandigarh) and the NH 10 (New Delhi - Mandi Dabwali).

Foreign nationals living in the region or planning to visit are advised to stay cautious and keep away from protests. Pay attention close attention to security guidelines and, if possible, avoid the area until the situation gets back to normal.

On the other hand, delays and cancellations are likely to occur on train and bus networks.

Visited Haryana this week. Now the situation is under control in Gurgaon and other places.
Places like Sonepat, Rohtak are still under Army control. Commandos are deployed in these places.

Violence is a part of the lives of North Indians.

South India is so much more safer.
