Shipping our car to panama or buy one in panama

I've never done it myself, but besides cost you need to research whether your actual model car was / is sold in Panama.  Even the same manufacturer, e.g., Toyota, sells different models in Panama than in the U.S.  This could mean delays and higher expenses finding replacement parts to maintain a car that was never marketed in Panama.

Do not ship a car down. Buy one when U arrive. I shipped one down and had asked kinds of problems in customs and getting it registered here in Panama. Had to pay bribes. Trust me buy a car here.
