Bomb blast in Ankara: safety measures recommended

Hello everyone,

Following bomb blasts that occurred on Wednesday 17th February in Ankara, our sincere thoughts go to the families of victims.

Foreign nationals who are already on the spot or who are planning to move to Turkey are highly advised to be extremely vigilant while traveling. They are also advised to avoid Kizilay where the bomb blast took place.

It is also recommended to expatriates to stay away from crowds and demonstrations, regardless of their nature, as well as government buildings and police stations which can be potential targets.

How did you live that event? Would you like to share your experience and give any advice to expats who are currently in the area?
