My husband and I are moving to California in August, with our 11 month old son (he'll be 1.5 when we move). My husband and our son are USA citizens, so obviously they don't have any problems moving over. The problem is me. I've been trying to use the visa wizard on the USA travel government website, but it doesn't seem to work for my situation, and most of the links don't work.
I'm basically not sure whether I should be applying for a immigrant employment visa (since I already have a job offer) or a family based visa? It appears that the family based visa imply that my husband must already be working in the USA (which he's obviously not) but the immigrant employment visa doesn't take into account that my husband is a USA citizen, so I might not get it? Which one should I be applying for?
What kind of visa do I need if my husband is a US citizen?

Start off by applying for a green card, then after a few years go for the citizenship.
