How to make google.com default search engine in Ecuador?

Can anybody please tell me exactly how to make google.com my default search engine? In Ecuador, my computer always defaults to google.com.ec (i.e. google ecuador). I use google Chrome, and I will need to know exactly what to click on to make the change. Any help much appreciated, Russell

Search on Google.com instead of your local Google domain
If you're searching on a local Google domain like google.fr, but prefer to search on google.com instead, follow these steps:

Visit your local google domain, like google.fr.
Click the gray Google.com link in the bottom right corner of the page.
