  somewhat confused !!!!!
thanks in advance ,,,, appreciate your help on these topics,,,

Make sure you have everything set up before leaving Canada so you can easily transfer money once you arrive in Thailand.

You will need to know the bank name, name on account, your account number, address of bank and SWIFT code for receiving bank.  I think most Thai banks have one SWIFT code for all branches but some may not.  I use Bangkok Bank and I know they use one for all branches.

Make sure you send Canadian dollars to Thailand so you get the best rate.  Never send Baht.

If your bank charges a flat fee for transfer then I would suggest you send a larger amount every 3-4 months instead of monthly transfers.

If money is coming from pension or previous earned income then no taxes are due in Thailand.
