Integrating teenage children into the school system

Hi there,

We will be moving to Switzerland in Summer of 2016.
I found out that my 13-year old can visit an integration course to get integrated into the secondary school system.
Still have to figure out how we can help my 19-year old (finished High School) once we get there.

But I have a 16 (almost 17) year old son who is currently in the 10th grade; will he be able to transition easily into the Mittelschule; because he wants to continue studies to get into the field of psychology.
Unfortunately I didn't see any integration courses for his age group to help him transition.

The problem is, he only speaks English, not German or French, will that hinder him from going to the Mittelschule or Kantonsschule? I don't want to hold him back, he is an extremely smart kid.

Any advice would be great, thanks very much :)

I will recommend you to contact the Munster Gymnasium. They are very helpful with integrating expat into the swiss schooling system. They also offer IB.

Hello ,
To which part of Switzerland are you moving to ?

Near Baden 😀

Try the International School of Zurich.
