Safty in uyo in akwa

I presume you got an offer with the newly built Ibom Specialist Hospital. First, will this be your first time in Nigeria or you are already in Nigeria and you'll like to move to Uyo? If the former is your situation then you'll need to first get familiar with the living condition in Nigeria vis-a-vis basic infrastructure such as electricity, water, internet, etc. That said, i'll presume the Hospital staff will be given quarters and most of these things will be provided. In terms of safety, Uyo is generally safe for foreigners although one still needs to be safety concious.

In terms of school for your kids, it depends on the age of the kids but there are schools that cater for the needs of foreigners.

Note that Uyo is in Akwa Ibom State which is a major oil producing state in Nigeria so there is a relatively large concentration of expatriates
