Hi,
I have got an offer from a company in KL and planning to move. The company will file my Stage-1 in India and await for the Reference Visa. I wish to take along my wife at the same time when I fly. But my firm is insisting to get the Employment Pass stamped in Malaysia and then start the process for Dependent Visa.
So my question is:
Can I ask my firm to apply for a Social Pass for my wife initially and take her along with me and then apply for dependent visa in KL.
If the above is a possible case then can someone help me with the exact procedure and the documents required for the same.

Yes you can and apply separate tourist visa for her.
however when you process the dependant visa for her, and she already in Malaysia, you have to pay fine of RM500
